Professional translation services
LingVata is a marketplace for professional translation. You describe the document, choose the language pair and specialization, and receive prices from verified translators who work in that pair — or hire a specific translator directly when you already know who you want.
Every translator on the marketplace submits identity and qualification documents before appearing in search. Rates are set by the professional, the LingVata commission is shown separately at checkout, and your payment is held through the job until you accept the delivered work.

See the professional amount, the platform commission and the processing fee before paying anything.
Specialist pairs
Filter by language pair, specialization and rate instead of taking whoever is available.
Revision built in
Request a revision on the project record if the delivery does not match the agreed scope.
What you can have translated
Translators on LingVata work across the document types that come up most often in business, legal, technical and personal settings. The specialization you select when posting a project determines which professionals see it.
- Business material: contracts, proposals, reports, presentations, marketing and website content
- Legal and official documents, handled by translators who work in that field
- Technical documentation, manuals, patents and product specifications
- Personal documents such as certificates, transcripts and correspondence
- Subtitles, articles and editorial content requiring a native-level voice
How pricing works
Translation is usually priced per word, though individual professionals may quote per page, per document or per project. When you hire directly from a profile you see an estimate from the translator’s published rate before you pay; when you post a project, each translator quotes against your actual brief.
The final word count is confirmed by the translator once the source file is reviewed, and any adjustment is agreed before the work is delivered. The platform commission and the payment processing fee are always displayed as separate lines, so you can see what the professional is paid.
How your documents are handled
Uploaded files are stored privately and opened through time-limited links. Only you, the translator assigned to the job and platform staff handling verification or a dispute can access them. Files are never published to the public web and never appear in search results or structured data.
If the delivery falls short of the agreed scope you can request a revision, and if that does not resolve it you can open a dispute within seven days of delivery. A platform administrator reviews the evidence and records the outcome.
Common questions
How much does a professional translation cost?
+
It depends on the language pair, the specialization and the length of the document. Translators publish their own rates, so you can compare per-word prices on the marketplace before hiring. You always see the total, including commission and processing fee, before you pay.
Can I choose which translator works on my document?
+
Yes. You can hire a specific translator from their public profile and pay the estimate from their published rate, or post a project and compare quotations from several translators before choosing one.
Do I need to send my whole document to get a price?
+
No. A description, the language pair and an approximate word count are enough to receive quotations. Exact source files are only needed once you accept a quotation and the work is assigned.
What happens if the translation is not what I expected?
+
Request a revision first: it is logged on the project with your reason and the translator’s response. If the work still does not match the agreed scope, you can escalate to a dispute within seven days of delivery and an administrator decides the outcome.
